The goal of the CJA Collaborative Courts Committee is to achieve and establish the following:

• • Review and track legislation, and advise the executive board on legislation that impacts collaborative courts for each legislative session.


• • Educate legislators, courts and the public about various types of collaborative courts and promote awareness and support from those entities.


• • Present education opportunities at CJA conferences and meetings that fulfill minimum judicial education standards as promulgated by the Judicial Council and the Collaborative Justice Courts Advisory Committee.


• • Support courts in implementing local best practices as identified by the Judicial Council and the Collaborative Justice Courts Advisory Committee.


• • Develop short- and long-term projects with the goal of establishing blueprints for implementing collaborative courts in large, medium and small counties who wish to expand their collaborative courts.


• • Create California-wide network of collaborative court judges for information sharing, consultation and problem-solving within the collaborative courts in California.
