Committee Description:

Broadens the scope of existing contacts with the legislative and executive branches, and insures that legislators remain aware of the judiciary's role and needs in government and the effects of legislative action on justice. The committee seeks to broadly increase judicial participation in the legislative process and provide the association's lobbyist and legislative counsel with support at every level of their representation of CJA. Additionally, the committee reviews requests and makes recommendations on bill sponsorship proposals to the Executive Board.
